Ann Curry
Ann Curry has worked as a journalist for more than 45 years. Her reporting focuses on natural disasters, as well as areas of war. Following her graduation from the University of Oregon, Curry obtained a bachelor's degree in journalism degree in the year 1978. She was exposed to a variety of cultures and the experiences she had during her growing up may have influenced her empathy way of communicating on issues of international significance. Curry traveled a lot along with her companion, and did not attend a school for longer than two years. She attended schools located in San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia. Curry graduated in Ashland the high school. She started a new career path that led to a lucrative career as an intern at broadcasting station KTVL Channel 10 Medford. She was the first female news anchor at this station, at age 22. In Portland the state of Oregon, she was appointed anchor as well as a reporter for KGW which is NBC's subsidiary. After moving to Los Angeles, she became a reporter on KCBS TV just four years after having moved to the city. She received 2 Emmy Awards during the six years she spent with this station.
